Sad News!

On December 31st, My dad went to a meeting with 2 of the elders of the Church in Anderson, IN.  He needed to gas the car up so he pulled into Pilot. He gassed up and then when He was just about to get on the highway, the car died. He tried and tried and tried but the car would not start up. Suddenly, he saw a flame in the hood. He went into the gas station to ask if He could use a fire extinguisher. Then He heard someone say "Someone's car is on fire!" It was the van! My dad then called Mr. Daming. Mr. Daming came and saw my dad in the gas station looking across the street to where our car was engulfed with flames. My Dad and Mr. Daming called 911. When they got there it was too late, the car was burnt to a crisp. Our family van is now gone.  Please pray for us as we search for a new car!

Yee haw!

Every Year, the day after Christmas, Our family makes the trip up to Indiana.   So our family made the trip to Indiana this year on Saturday.  When we got there, we unpacked everything.  Then, we loaded wood into Mr. Damings trailer and brought it into the garage.  Then,  my 2 friends, Anthony and Nathaniel showed me a place where mice nearby like to hide.  We got down there and Anthony flipped open the boat.  We saw 3 mice!  One jumped out of the boat (which was their hiding place).  Nathaniel and I chased it to the end of the boat where Anthony was and he squashed both of their brains out with a HUGE stick!  We were all so happy that Anthony killed the 2 mice.  We call ourselves, The Rat Patrol because last year we shot 4 mice. And the year before last we shot a Rat. It was half a foot long!  I will post something when we catch more!

Card Player

Claire loves to play cards. My Grandma came down for Christmas and Claire was begging her to play cards with her. My Grandma and Claire played "War". Here are some pictures of her playing with my Grandma!

Christmas

I will share with you some things that I like about Christmas:

1. I like sitting around the table with a hot cup of cider and sing Christmas carols.
2. I like hearing Dad read some passages recounting Jesus' birth.
3. I thank God that He sent His own son born in a manger to die for our sins!

Stephen's Battle

I did this video with my friends, Joshua Horn, Stephen Horn, and Jake Dohm. It was really fun!

Christmas

I would like to share some thoughts with you on Christmas:

1. Christmas should not be a time to remember Santa Claus, but to remember Christ's birth
2. Christmas is a great time for giving to others because God gave us His son, Jesus Christ

If anyone has any other insights I would like to know what they are!

In the Sprinkler

A couple of months ago, I turned on the sprinkler to water the grass and flowers (there were some dead patches of grass in the ground).  Then the little ones, Shea, Claire, and Samuel wanted to play in it.  They went in to ask mom and came out screaming and shouting with delight.  "Mom said Yes!" they said.  So they ran in.  After a while I couldn't resist and ran in with them.  It was so much fun!

Dogs!

We are house-sitting for our friends the Damings. They have 1 Dog named Trixie and 1 Puppy named Indi. Well, she's a puppy but she is VERY big for a puppy. Here are some pictures of Indi. I can't find any of Trixie.... They may be a little blurry.

Conference

Yesterday and Today, Hope Baptist Church had a conference about planting churches, membership, protecting the church of god from the wolves of the world, etc. I was staff and I helped my friend, David, do sound and printing CD'S. Dad gave a speech called "Church Planting Checklist". He talked about when, where, why, how etc. to plant a Church. It was very good. I hope we do it again!

Philip Owen Breagy was born on July 7, 2008. I am very sorry I have not blogged about this but we have been so busy that I forgot to blog and article about Philip. He is a strong and healthy baby. He is growing up so fast. I will try to post a picture of Him soon. That is, if I can.

Runner's Camp

On June 16-20,08 I went to Runner's Camp. It is sponsored by North Wake Church. It's not really a camp because you do not sleep there. I don't know why they call it Runner's Camp. It is basically Vacation Bible School except instead of singing, it is track and field. Monday through Thursday you gather at your tents by the color of your flag. Then you have devotion time with your coach. Next, you do an exercize lap around the track. Then you have snack. After that you do events like Hurdles, Shot Put, Discus, Javelin, Long Jump, and High Jump. I like the Long Jump. After that there is Big Group time where all of the age groups gather together to sing songs. Then your parents pick you up. But on Friday, there is a track meet where you compete in running events with your age group. They do it annually.  It was so much fun!  I hope we do it next year!

Baby

I am sorry that I have not written in such a LONG time. But, believe it or not, my mother should have a baby any day now! In our church there are a lot of ladies that are pregnant. I think Mom is the next one on the list! I am so excited to see our new baby boy/girl! Samuel and I would like a boy but everyone (including Mom's midwife) thinks it will be a girl. I will blog an article as soon as the baby is born! Thank you for your patience!
